In a bizarre collaboration that challenges conventional forecasts, the game developer has unveiled an in-game collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising holiday event runs from November 25 through December 22, providing no-cost extra story content for Shadows players.

Peculiar Questline Uncovered

According to the official announcement, "A mysterious confrontation draws heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a new mission, where rumors of forbidden ceremonies and monstrous metamorphoses reverberate through the shadows." The plot features a "strangely attired woman named Ada" who tasks the pair with venturing into the Crystal Cave—a important location from Attack on Titan—to save her ally from a secret sect.

The adventure centers on "strange tests and a fearsome foe" and is open to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.

Recognizable Settings and Transformations

The trailer showcases the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was earlier where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through ages. The trailer concludes with a striking moment showing a character, probably the captive, transforming into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.

Unique Prizes and Bonus Material

Players who finish the mission will acquire an unique katana alongside multiple items concealed throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also contains premium Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:

Third Free Story Addition

This release also adds the game's newest complimentary story episode, titled "The Enigma." This lighthearted adventure partners Naoe and Yasuke as they exchange distinctive techniques: Naoe introduces a performative interpretation of Yasuke's war kick, while Yasuke acquires subduing stealth takedowns. True to its name, "The Enigma" also features a new environmental puzzle that may ultimately explain some lingering questions from the main storyline.
